Final Audio D8000 Planar Magnetic Headphones
Final was first established by the late Kanemori Takai in 1974. Their first release was a revolutionary figure-eight air-core coil with a cantilever cut from a one-carat diamond which was very well received. We are delighted to announce we are now Final dealers, and have the D8000’s coming into stock very soon.
More recently, in 2009 Final received a revamp once bought over by manufacturer Snext and began designing, manufacturing and selling their own headphones, both over and in-ear. These Japanese-made headphones crafted in their own factory and warehouse to produce the ideas of designers to fruition. All components are created and made in-house, including all drive units and casings.
Their brand concept says it best; “the comprehensive pursuit of things that are fundamentally right”.
So far our favourite has to be the D8000 open-backed planar magnetic headphones, with an Air Film Damping System that brings both the delicate high tones of treble common with planar magnetics, and also the open bass feel from dynamic headphones that rival those from the likes of B&W and Focal.
A full review of these headphones will be coming soon with this blog updated accordingly.
