T+A MP 3100 HV Multi-Media Player review
The T+A MP3100, is it worth the money? Does it represent good value in todays hifi world? And who are T+A anyway? Please enjoy our blog and review on this very intriguing CD player and streamer.
T+A is a well established, highly respected German manufacturer founded in 1978. Whilst not omnipresent here in the UK, T+A is a significant player in Germany, with consumer audio products representing the State of the Art.
The company has an enviable ethical/sustainable approach to production, with the Herford campus in Germany consisting entirely of “green” buildings. In manufacture, the company avoids substances that are potentially damaging to the environment, either during production or disposal. T+A do not have assembly lines as such, but employ a traditional hand-crafted system with specialists working in small groups, manually assembling and checking each sub assembly. The family run business also has very close links to technical universities in Germany, with research, training and career opportunities for gifted pupils.
Naim Solstice Special Edition Turntable
This Is Huge!!!
Every now and then we come across some truly mind-blowing news. Here in case is possibly the most important announcement from probably the most respected manufacturer in audiophile history.
Naim Audio have always been famous for their love of Vinyl playback. From their superb design ethos of the super dynamic phono stages, to the application of turntable power supplies, and my personal favourite, the seminal Naim ARO, a bench mark in the history of hi-fidelity. When I heard the news that there could be a new phono stage, power supply, and a new ARO MK2, I couldn’t believe it! Then I learnt the full impact. There’s now something to connect it all together…
Welcome to the Naim Solstice.
A new complete Turntable source of the highest order. Let the sun rise, and fall, and let the seasons change and you’ll still be transfixed in to the world of truly astounding vibrations…
Barco Projector Now On Display
Another new refrence home cinema product arrives at Hi-Fi Corner. This time it's the awesome Barco Bragi CinemaScope.
Bragi Cinemascope is taking its name from an historical ninth-century poet. His poems were so outstandingly artful and moving that subsequent generations imagined that, upon his death, Odin had appointed him the court poet of Valhalla. Bragi is also Balders brother and inherited Balders design language, optical core and lenses. Bragi will have the same PULSE electronic and SW platform powered by a revolutionizing new LED engine.
There is something special about Barco projectors, able to produce an image that is so cinematic no others can compete.

Franco-Serblin speakers descended on Joppa from Heaven.
A moving-coil battlefront. Dynavector Karat 17DX vs. Hana ML.
Dynavector Karat DX17 vs Hana ML.
Oh my Lord, two little black boxes with little Hi-Fi gems within. I was at Hi-Fi Corner and these two tantalizing mites were sitting on the table before me. I recognized the boxes as containing similarly priced moving-coil cartridges, both I think it's fair to say, belonging on the first couple of rungs of the “high-end” ladder. I knew the two models as I had been contemplating buying another cartridge myself and had researched a few possibilities. I couldn't in all honesty justify this other than just fancying having another cartridge to hand, and in any event, can one ever have too many of them? Anyway, it's cheaper than collecting cars! Struan, MD of Hi-Fi Corner, saw my eyes drawn to the boxes and suggested I take them home and compare the two, maybe anticipating a sale. How could I say no?
Welcome Franco Serblin
Arriving shortly at Hi-Fi Corner, the beautiful range of Franco Serblin speakers. The pedigree is impeccable. Franco Serblin was the designer of the acclaimed Sonus Faber loudspeakers before branching out to produce this stunning line-up. With a similar philosophy to his previous creations, the design of these speakers is aligned to that of musical instruments, with great emphasis on materials and craftsmanship beyond compare. Coupled to this is the sheer elegance of the innovative designs and, common to the entire line-up, the ability to produce concert hall dynamics from a relatively modest sized enclosure.
Four designs are available. Two are 2-way designs – the Lignea and
