Phono Stages
Hi-Fi Corner tip- The Phono Stage is also known as a Phono Preamp, Phono Equalizer, Turntable Preamp and RIAA Preamp just to confuse you. They mean the same, but not all Phono Stages are the same! A phono stage is a special booster designed specifically to go between a turntable and your amplifier. One of these is required if you do not have a 'phono' input on your amplifier.
