Excellent Noise Cancelling Headphones
I've owned these headphones for a couple of weeks now and after using them a fair bit over that period I have to say I am very impressed with them.
I have had a few pairs of different noise cancelling headphones by other manufacturers over the past few years and have always been just that little bit disappointed by them, there always seems to be a hiss or hum during quieter sections of songs that for me is very annoying. So finally I decided to try the instore demo with the Bose QC 3's and also the newer QC 15's.
As both the headphones are fairly expensive I wanted to fully try them both out before deciding which, if any to buy. I have to say the over the ear type headphones (the QC 15's) did feel a little more steady and slightly more comfortable on the head than the QC 3's, additionally the QC 15's are also slightly better at noise cancelling, partly I imagine to the over the ear type headphone. On the whole though both the QC 15's and QC 3's are both excellent and perform really well at noise cancelling with no audible hiss or hum. So onto my decision.
What it came down to in the end for me was the quality of sound from the headphones and which I personally preferred, I made sure I spent equal time trying each of the headphones out, then retrying again, listening to the instore set up with music tracks. Ultimately the Bose QC 15's for me sounded to have less depth and bass to them and I did much prefer the overall sound produced by the QuiteComfort 3 headphones and for that reason I bought them.
I can throughly recommend the Bose QuiteComfort 3 headphones, with a clear rich sound and the best noise cancelling headphones I have tried by far. I would suggest if your considering a pair to go for them, however I would also suggest you try the QuiteComfort 15's as these may meet your own sound preferences.Posted on 16/04/2010 by abacab1975
